How to extend the lifecycle of your uncoated stainless steel cookware?

See below tips & tricks to increase the lifespan of your stainless steel cookware:

  • Use soft utensils such as wooden, plastic, …i.e. the Balance serving tongs, skimmer, turner, ...
  • Dishwasher safe, but handwash is recommended to extend the lifecycle
  • Use pan protectors when storing your pans
  • Never cut in a frying pan

How to extend the lifecycle of your non-stick cookware?

In general, coated cookware typically has a shorter lifespan compared to non-coated cookware. Under normal conditions and with proper care, including using the correct utensils and pan protectors when storing, the non-stick performance can last approximately 2-3 years. After this period, the non-stick coating may begin to lose its effectiveness, and replacement is recommended.

See below tips & tricks to increase the lifespan of non-stick cookware:

  • Avoid temperature shocks
  • Never preheat empty cookware: always use oil or fat
  • Cook on low to medium heat: to avoid overheating which will damage the non-stick coatings.
  • Only cook on high heat for boiling liquids such as water
  • Use soft utensils like the Balance serving tongs, skimmer, turner, ...
  • Do not use metal sponges or a harsh cleaning product during handwash
  • Use pan protectors when storing
  • Never cut in the pan
